The following blog is a fictional dramatization of real or make-believe events.  Any resemblance to characters or real persons is probably a coincidence.  Any similarities to actual events is not my fault. Ok, most of it isn’t fictional, but according to some folks, my whole world is fictional – you can be your own judge.

I survived two marriages to narcissistic sociopaths.   You cannot apply logic to crazy. The weird part is, two of my girl friends had gone through the exact same thing shortly thereafter.  A few of the details are different, but crazy is crazy.  I have learned that personality disorders are a lot different than mental illness.  The latter is a chemical imbalance or physical impairment of the brain, the former is learned behavior that one believes is normal and fine.  Mental illness can be treated.

If you are not familiar with the definitions of narcissist, sociopath, psychopath, mental illness or personality disorders, I implore you to please educate yourself.  We do throw the terms around loosely.  However, the rate at which they are in the population is disturbing.  I have learned a lot on my journey, maybe I can share a bit with you.

On another note: I have healed greatly from the abuses of my marriages. Today, 7 years post-divorce my life has moved on. He doesn’t even generate an emotional response anymore. Now, I will write about whatever strikes my fancy. Maybe I’ll entertain you – maybe I’ll learn something.
