Originally posted on Adventures in Updating, but I thought I’d share it here. My artwork has been a life saving force lately. I’ve not been able to do enough of it – I’d sit and paint and play all day if I could. Oh, wait, I can! I better get on it!
This is what I did today for my house. Until a few years ago, I’d never understood what people meant when they quoted their “life verse” or they had their favorite. One day as I was preparing my testimony for a Celebrate Recovery meeting. I was in the chapel praying, trying to get my thoughts organized when I came across this verse. I knew immediately it was for me. It was mine! Another verse in the bible had never stabbed my heart like this one.
There is a difference between fear & being scared. Fear is a chronic debilitating condition whereas Scared is an acute feeling concerning an immediate situation. Are you scared or fearful?
I’ve been in a mood lately, so here’s what I did today. Of course, being the artist, I see all the flaws & wants to improve – maybe you won’t.
This was one of the crate panels Morgan got for me. Remember the “ABC” panel?
Morgan brought these panels at the same time. I painted the background on the same day. So I decided to paint the other panel today. I always knew what I wanted to do on it – my FAVORITE verse in the Bible Isaiah 41:13. It’s not necessarily well known, but it works for me. So, here it is:
Personally, I love it. I am not sure where I’ll hang it, but I can’t be talked out of this one!
